Paradiso Ligure
Liguria is often seen only from the coastline—the glittering sea, colorful villages, and busy promenades. But for us, Paradiso Ligure lies beyond that first impression, deeper in the valleys where time slows down and stories remain written in stone.
Our journey through Liguria has taken us far from the crowds. We’ve walked through forgotten valleys, explored old towns still carrying the marks of past earthquakes, and discovered hidden churches and small chapels quietly standing among olive trees and vineyards. Along the way, we encountered abandoned mills, crossed ancient Roman bridges, and followed forest streams winding through deep gorges, where waterfalls appear almost unexpectedly.
One of the most memorable paths led us along the old Roman road near Albenga—a reminder of how long this landscape has been shaped by human presence.
Most of these places we didn’t visit alone. They were shared experiences with our friends and volunteers, people who became part of our journey and, in many ways, part of the project itself. These explorations shaped not only our understanding of the region but also our approach to restoring our home in Trastanello.
Our project is deeply connected to this landscape. The same spirit we found in hidden ruins and quiet valleys—patience, resilience, and respect for what already exists—guides our work.
Paradiso Ligure is not a single place. It’s a network of paths, memories, and shared moments—waiting just beyond the obvious.
